Ex-Chelsea boss expresses interest.

It is understood that Avram Grant has informed the Sunderland board of his interest in the current managerial vacancy.

Grant who replaced Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge in 2007, and guided Chelsea into the Champions League final only to have his contract with Chelsea terminated at the end of the season.

Currently unemployed and living back at his native home in Israel, he is reportedly keen on a making a return to the Premier League.
