Cisse in or out?

Cisse will he stay or will he go?
The Sunday press have today produced a story that Sunderland's on loan striker Cisse will refuse any contract offers put to him by the club at the end of the season.

Rumour has it that because of both Pascal Chimbonda and El-Hadji Diouf have now left Sunderland Cisse will be next, no official comments have been made by either Cisse or Sunderland AFC of an exit by the French international.

But official quotes from Sunderland Manager Ricky Sbragia suggests otherwise and he can persuade Djibril to stay, the French international has also said on at least three separate occasions and been quoted hinting that he would welcome a deal to stay with Sunderland AFC.

Sbragia said, "If we're safe with six games to go he can speak with Niall Quinn about what we'll do for him,"

"If he scores 15 or 20 goals why look for someone else?"

"I know Nicolas Anelka went to Bolton and did well, but I always thought he was set on climbing the ladder."

"Djibril could be the same, but I hope we can persuade him to stay."

Bent 10 million pound offer.

Bent to be a Black Cat?
News articles today have rumoured that Sunderland have launched a 10 million pound bid for Spurs striker Darren Bent, Bent was offered in a player plus cash deal for Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones, but the offer was knocked back with Jones signing a contract extension to keep him a Black Cat.

This rumour has also added speculation to the future of French International Djibril Cisse.
