Bruce sent Sunderland scouts to give the once over on Spanish midfielder.
According to newspapers, Fran Yeste, Athletic Bilbao midfielder who's contract is up at the end of the current season has caught the eye of Steve Bruce. Sunderland have apparently sent scouts across to Spain to watch the 29 year old.
