Sunderland after Kirkland?

Several Sunday papers and websites have today suggested Steve Bruce is planning yet another raid on his old team Wigan, only this time for goal keeper Chris Kirkland.

Chairman Niall Quinn earlier this week revealed that Bruce will have money available in the summer for some fresh faces at the club, but surely with
Sunderland's number 1 and Britain's most expensive keeper Craig Gordon being in such fine form of recent the Black Cats boss can't be looking for a replacement as the Wigan stopper has also had a great season and will be looking for first team action himself.
