We're On Our Way

This time last year, we were bottom of the Premiership again with something like -15 points but now the Niall Quinn inspired turn-around has hit full steam and here we are, at the summit of the Championship.

Who would have thought that 5 games into the season with Sunderland languishing at the root of the Championship table that we would ever be in this position. No one ever thought that Keano would ever be this good of a manager…ever.

Sunderland
now have grit, character and a dogged determination to win at all costs…and we have The Nos (that's star centre half Nyron Nosworthy to those oblivious to the phenomenon).

Everything about the club now looks as though it is destined for bigger things. With a new sense of professionalism it now looks as though Sunderland are becoming a seriously, well respected club. Of course there will always be the doubters and the haters as not everyone likes Keane or even Sunderland, but who cares when we'll be in the Premiership.

I hope I'm not getting to far ahead of myself in saying words like 'promotion' and 'champions' etc. but I cant help myself. I did say, not too long ago the promotion may not be a good thing in the long run, but rumours of a transfer budget to the tune of £30 million can change opinions.

There is no doubt that promotion is not a certainty and we do have some tough games left and have to get the job done, but no one can dampen my spirits this week.
