A Pleasing Point

"It was a good point because the goal was so late in the game.

"Credit to the players, they showed great desire to get a result when we didn't play too well, and especially when we gave two bad goals away.

"We knew it was going to be hard, especially when we fell behind just before half time.

"It was great to get the equaliser soon after the first goal, they didn't get a feel for having the lead, but it was a sloppy goal we conceded just before half-time.

"The players are different class, they don't give up. We had a few harsh words at half-time.

"Even with five or ten minutes left you knew we would get a chance, whether we would take it was a different matter.

"Murphy's come back into the team and he's looked fresh, he was a threat when he came on and he took the chance very well.

"The players are disappointed, but you are not going to win every game you play - the best teams in the world don't do that.

"We've got to get ready for Saturday and we're a point nearer Birmingham than before, so that's a positive.

"Jonny had blurred vision. We gave him a chance, hopefully he'll be OK for Saturday.

"It was not a great performance but I keep telling the players they have to to keep going until the end, and that's what they've done.

"I'm taking the positives out of tonight without a doubt. When you give goals away like that, it's a bloody hard night. Football's a tough game and you need tough guys."
