Alan Hutton Red Card Appeal

Sunderland AFC are appealing the red card given to right back Alan Hutton after he was head butted by Hull’s Jozy Altidore, the attack broke Hutton’s nose, tooth and left a cut around his eye.

Steve Bruce was clearly outraged by ref Lee Probert decision to send off his defender, who was given the card for lightly throwing the ball at the back of Altidore which in turn he reacted with the vicious head butt.

The red card is an automatic three match ban which means with only 2 games left Hutton’s season will be over and possibly his Sunderland career if a deal cannot be struck with Spurs for the defender.
