Sunderland manager Steve Bruce today named the new captain, Lorik Cana will be wearing the arm band this season.
The role is not a new one to the midfielder, captaining Olympique de Marseille since 2007, through the French teams appearances in the Champions League and Uefa Cup, right up until Sunderland signed him this summer.
