Sunderland young American starlet Lynden Gooch was carried off the pitch on Monday evening, with an ankle injury.
Gooch who is a United States international looked to have landed badly from a tackle mid-way thought the first half of the under 23’s match.
There is still no official word on the extent of the injury, but it was enough for on looking David Moyes to come out of the stands to check on his player.
