Referee Martin Atkinson handed the Welshman his third caution in five games, but Bale and his manager Andre Villas Boas felt he was hard-done-by.
Bale said: “I’ve been clipped and booked for no reason again.”
Villas-Boas added: “I understand reputations can be created, but it’s a bit unfair.”
