Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has spoken about star player Darren Bent’s groin, after missing out on a golden chance to prove himself on the international stage.
Bruce is hopeful that Bent will overcome his groin strain in time to face Blackburn on Monday after Sunderland’s own medical staff give the striker the once over.
But the Sunderland gaffer also went on to say he is waiting to hear from the England team’s medical staff.
Bent had a great season last season and at club level was injury free but on three occasions in which he has been called to train with the England team he has picked up injury’s, and the question is why!
