Bent left out the England team.

Sunderland striker Darren Bent has been left out the England team, even though he is the current highest English goal scorer in the Premier League and overall second in the goals scored league.

He has played more this season than any other striker named in the England squad, scoring goals against the best teams England has to offer in front of Capello at Chelsea and more recently Manchester United.  He was Tottenham’s top goal scorer last season despite being third choice striker.

Bent is Sunderland first choice striker and with only injury preventing should play in every game possible, yet he picks two 3rd choice strikers, and striker that isn't even fit and the other isn't even fit to clean Bents boots!

Is Bent to be one of those players that are cursed by England's job's for the boy's team selection, like his current manager Steve Bruce, who never got to play for his country despite being one of the best defenders England had to offer at the time. Also Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips is the only English striker to ever win the European golden boot while aswell as the Premier league goal boot, but never got to play a full 90 minutes in the six time he actually played for England.
