Big Sam has the club at heart.

Sunderland gaffer Big Sam Allardyce has revealed he won’t be in France to watch the European Championship, but will join the majority of us watching on TV.

It’s good to hear that Sam has got Sunderland’s future at heart, by staying back to work on the comings and goings of the club.  Which won’t be easy with the tournament going on, a lot of players that Sam could have his eye on may well be taking part.

It is easy to see that the Black Cats need major improvements to stay away from yet another relegation battle, having only just survived this season.  Although the signings that Sam made in January, Lamine Kone and Wahbi Khazri played a huge part in that.

Allardyce said, “I’ll be watching on the TV,”

“I’m not actually going out there. I’m busy trying to improve the squad."

“The end of the season was a great relief for us all at Sunderland. My job now is to strengthen the squad as much as possible to make sure we’re not fighting relegation again.”
