So ripples of that certain Liverpool striker Fabio Borini have yet again raised its ugly head, along with yet another lone deal.
Sunderland needs new some fire power up front, and the hope was that with Conner Wickham’s sale to Crystal Palace there would be another striker in waiting. At least that’s what the majority of fans were hoping for, but as yet and as every transfer window there is plenty of links to names but no actual signings of strikers that is.
Since yesterday the Borini rumour has snowballed, to the point where most major bookies have put us favourites to re-sign him, amidst the rumours of him returning to a club in his home land of Italy.
Borini would be a great signing if he can do what he did last time, but he would have to keep that run running as a few bad games and fans would soon get on his back for messing about on the signing front.
