Sunderland boss Steve Bruce will have to wait until next week for a definitive answer on the extent of Jordan Henderson's ankle injury. The 19-year-old midfielder was due to undergo scans on Thursday on the ankle he damaged during last Saturday's 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw with Wigan. However, Bruce has revealed it could be Monday at the earliest before he knows the prognosis. The manager told the club's official website: "We haven't got anything back as of yet, but we are keeping our fingers crossed it won't be too bad. "As I've said before, the injury looked quite nasty and we have had to wait until the swelling settled down. "Hopefully we should have something to report next week and then we can begin treatment."
