Buckley to Leeds.

Leeds United and Sunderland have reached an agreement for unwanted winger Will Buckley.

His career at Sunderland never really took off, and seemed like a bit of an odd signing from the start as then manager Gus Poyet admitted that he didn’t think he was Premiership quality.  Although he didn’t do that bad of a job on his first appearance against Manchester United.

Gus clearly was a fan of Buckley’s having signed him previously in 2011 when in charge of Brighton from Watford.   Unfortunately for the winger, it looks as Gus Poyet’s original assessment was the more accurate one, having made 24 appearances for Sunderland’s first team, signs of him struggling against premiership class players showed.
