Calum Davenport in the clear

Ex-Sunderland loanee defender Calum Davenport has been cleared of assaulting his sister.

It was alleged that the West Ham player headbutted Cara Davenport then bit her cheek after announcing she was pregnant.

This happened shorty after the loan deal with Sunderland had finished he was believed to have been in talks with the Black Cats regarding a permanent move.

Miss Davenport's (Calum's sister) boyfriend then stabbed the defender in both legs  losing half of his blood, in which Calum sent several weeks in hospital.

West Ham and Davenport came to an agreement to end his contract with the London club, and has not played football since.
