David Moyes is reportedly set to raid another one of his old clubs, in the shape of Everton’s midfielder James McCarthy.
McCarthy looks set to spend some time on the Everton bench once they have a fully fit squad, as Everton new comer Idrissa Gueye looks to have replaced the midfielder.
The Republic of Ireland international did play on Everton’s first game of the season, as a right back but that position will undoubtedly be returned to fellow Irishman Seamus Coleman once fit.
David Moyes is on the hunt for midfielders, with both Lee Cattermole and Seb Larsson both looking at lengthy stints out injured, the Sunderland squad is thin on numbers.
