This rumour of Sunderland being on the path of Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes, seems to have snow balled following the weekend’s embarrassing SAFC performance against Leicester City .
Sunderland have been apparently sniffing around the striker as well as neighbouring Championship team Middlesbrough, there are reports of Boro having a £14 million pound offer knocked back. Blackburn are said to be interested in offers from teams not in the same league, as the fear Rhodes, there top asset would come back to bite them on the backside!
The new gossip is that Sunderland are ready to offer cash plus a player offer, with names like Will Buckley and Danny Graham both being mentioned to go. Rhodes would be a gamble as his previous experience is in the lower leagues, he would have to hit the ground running in the premiership.
