Chop Off The Fringe!

Representatives from other clubs were invited to a Sunderland reserves closed-doors friendly against Doncaster Rovers last night to see if they were interested in taking any players on-loan.

No news has arisen just yet of any deals but things are expected within a few days. The likes of Tommy Miller and Jonathan Stead are in the hat.

"We've no reserve team this season and that will make it frustrating for some players," said Keane.

"I'm sure one or two of them will be looking to go out on loan.

"I organised the match against Doncaster to give some of the lads who have not been involved a game.

"We let other clubs know about the game and I'm sure there were some representatives there who might have been looking to take players on loan."
