Darren Bent after the big 30

Last updated : 04 April 2010 By Daryl Baker

Sunderland super striker Darren Bent has given himself a target of 30 goals this season, which could turn out to be a realistic target after scoring 23 goals so far and with 5 games left.

Bent commented after the Spurs game, "If I had got the other two (penalty’s), 30 might not have been too far away, to be fair, I am happy with how many goals I have got at the moment, but I don't want to stand on it. I want to keep going and if I can get past that 25-mark, I will be delighted."

With West Ham, Burnley, Hull and Wolves still all to play and all fighting to avoid the drop also Man United in the title race, it will be a tough challenge but not impossible for the quickly becoming Sunderland legend.
