Dick Advocaat says he would walk away from Sunderland if there is someone who would do a better job already to take over.

There has been an awful lot of controversy over the Sunderland boss’s future, even before the start of the season.   The papers were reporting that he was ready to walk over a lack of new signings, which was later rubbished by him, and the club.

But with yet another season looking like a relegation battle for the Black Cats, it seems that the first change would be a change of Manager.  But surely there has to be further, deeper issues than the club manager.  With countless players coming and going and several managers later, SAFC are still in that same position, what is it going to take for the club to swing around.
