Disappointing form is a mystery to Sunderland defender

After losing 11 of their 13 away games this season, Sunderland go to Portsmouth on Saturday looking for their first win away from home.

However, after some resilient performances against tough opposition, the Welsh international reckons the results aren't reflecting the players' performances.

He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "I think overall there's only the Everton game where we didn't do ourselves justice.

"In the other games we played pretty well. We just don't seem to pick up any points and I don't why."

Meanwhile, the Black Cats' home form has been brilliant but the true test lies just up-the-road with fixtures against Chelsea and league-leaders Arsenal coming up.

Collins followed-up by saying: "We seem to have all the top half teams to come to our place while we've got to go to the likes of Fulham and Derby.

"It's a vital stage of the season for us we need to go away and grab at least a draw so the teams around us don't capitalise on us."
