Endika Bordas, of Athletico Bilbao, is out-of-contract and Sunderland manager Niall Quinn has moved swiftly to take a look at the Spanish midfielder.
Bordas joins Oriol Riera and Arnau Caldentey on the growing list of Spanish trialists. The Spanish trio are also accompanied by Austrian goalkeeper, Michael Gspurning, and ex-Newcastle defender, Robbie Elliot.
