Rumours out of Italy are that Sunderland are tracking Bayer Leverkusen right back Giulio Donati, as the 25 year old has dropped down the pecking order in Germany.
He originally signed for Bayer back in June 2013, with his current contract due to expire in 2017, its estimated that Sunderland could pick him up for as little as 1.5 million, although some of his native Italian clubs are also supposed to be interested in his services.
