Club, fans and Steve Bruce can take a breath of fresh air as Sunderland injury problems look to have taken a U turn, with striker Kenwyne Jones and midfielders Kieran Richardson and Bolo Zenden all expected to be fit for Sunderland’s clash with Bolton Wanders this Saturday.

Jones and Richardson both suffering from calf strains and Zenden with a hamstring issue, all three first team players have trained this week.  Although Sunderland still have defensive problems with Paulo De Silva being the only centre back available to play, it is thought that Bruce will go with playing midfielder Cana at the back.
