Forgotten Scotsman wants away

Forgotten defender Russell Anderson has spoke of his desire to join Burnley, the club that Anderson has been on loan at since August 2008.

Sunderland signed Anderson for 1 million from Aberdeen back in June 2007, but he never really featured in many Sunderland games due to injury and competition for first team places.

He was loaned out to Plymouth for the 07-08 season, then on to Burnley the following season.

Anderson commented, "The lads have been great, it's an easy changing room to integrate into, the manager obviously wants those sorts of characters. I've really enjoyed my time here, I would like to come back, but it's up to the people who make the decisions. Fingers crossed."
