Geordie Chopra sent to Wales.
The ex-Newcastle striker has kicked his last ball in the proud Red and White colours of Sunderland AFC.

After Roy Keane signed Chopra on 13 July 2007 from Cardiff City for 5 million pounds, putting the Geordie striker back in the premier league.

The club stood by Chopra as it was reported that after being married for a only a few weeks his wife left him. Then yet again in August 2008 Sunderland AFC stood by the player as, he checked into rehab in an attempt to help his personal problems.

After the striker failed to help replay Sunderland AFC by not beating Newcastle United the club he has supported all his life.

Chopra was only played as first choice striker Djibril Cisse had to come off due to injury, half way through the second half.Cardiff City have taken the misfiring striker on loan until the end of the season, when the loan is complete it will a permanent move worth nearly £4m.
