Long term want away winger Emanuelle Giaccherini has finally been granted his wish, returning home permanently by signing for Napoli.
Signing from Juventus two seasons ago, Giaccherini never really settled in on Wearside, plagued with injury and then going out on loan to Bologna. The Italian international made it clear he had no desire to return to Sunderland once his loan deal was over. What makes things even harder from a Sunderland point of view is that Giaccherini was outstanding for his international side in the recent Euro’s, something Sunderland fans ever got to see on Wearside.
It’s understood he is going to Napoli for the cut price of 2 million euros!
