It's not the Italian Job

Sunderland’s Italian striker Fabio Borini has been linked with a move back to his native country, both Roma and AC Milan are interested if Italian media is believed.

With Sunderland being strapped for cash and sitting in the bottom three for the majority of the season, the outlook is grim at the moment.  Several clubs have already been linked with various players on Wearside, as the vulture’s circle towards the January transfer market.

But Borini is set to stick it out on Wearside at least until the end of the season, then review the situation, which reading between the lines means it depends on which league Sunderland are in!

Sunderland really can’t afford to lose players unless a ridicules offer comes in and for that money to be put straight back into strengthening the side.
