Keane: 'I'm no quitter'

Keane has had to deal with a number of goings-on both on, and off the pitch in recent weeks. He has had trouble finalising deals for new players for a squad which crumbled against Wigan at home, last Saturday. Whilst comments from defender Clive Clarke and internet rumours haven't helped.

"Walking away has never crossed my mind," he said.

"I have a three-year contract which I hope the club will honour and I'm sure in three years the club will be in a stronger position."

Regarding the allegations about certain players, the Telegraph states:

"An internal investigation has been undertaken but club sources insist the only outcome will be legal action against a supporters' website because of their potentially libelous content."
