Stoke have already secured the loan signings of Liverpool's Salif Diao and Aston Villa's Lee Hendrie in the past few days. They look set to wrap it up with the signing of former Southampton man, Rory Delap.
Keane said: "Rory went to see Stoke last week and he's been speaking to them over the last few days. I think that could happen but it's really down to Rory and Stoke.
"When you think something is nearly done it can quickly change, so I'm a bit wary of saying too much at the moment."
