Myhre struggling for Bolton clash

The Norwegian goalkeeper missed last weekend's defeat against West Ham because of injury but was all set to make his first Premiership start for Sunderland at Bolton on Monday.

Sunderland boss Howard Wilkinson said: "Thomas was doing well until doctors confirmed yesterday (Thursday) that he should have two days away because of a bad chest and sore throat.

"He was coming along smashing and this is not a help. He's now touch and go for Monday."

So, with Thomas Sorensen missing with a dislocated elbow, Wilkinson may have to once again use transfer-listed Jurgen Machoin for the game at The Reebok on Monday night.
