Sunderland striker Roy O'Donovan has become a wanted man since going on loan to North East neighbors Hartlepool United.
The young Irishman has struggled to get anywhere near Sunderland's first team with Kenwyne Jones, Fraizer Campbell and one of Englands best Darren Bent all way ahead of O'Donovan. The 24 year old has been told that his contract with Sunderland will not be renewed, as since signing from Cork in 2007 the player has been out on loan to several clubs from 2008.
But although he can't impress Steve Bruce he's has gained a few admirers in league one, with both loan club Hartlepool and now Colochester United manager Aidy Boothroyd has been quoted saying that he is a player he'd like to have at his club.
