Prica - No Regrets

The 28-year-old Sweden international striker has failed to start a single game for Sunderland this season.

"I would have won the Danish championship with Aalborg last season and be playing Champions League football now if I had stayed there," he told the Evening Chronicle.

"That would have been great, but every professional wants a chance to play in the best league in Europe, so I don't regret coming to Sunderland.

"Of course, I wish I could have had more time on the pitch, but this is the best league, so it is the toughest league to make your mark.

"Whatever happens to me, the main thing I have to say is I have always given 100 per cent. I have given it my best shot.

"I know it is unlikely I will play in the first team again here. There were clubs interested in the summer, but time ran out and nothing was agreed.

"It would be great if things could change for me here, but if not then I hope in January to find something new."
