Reyna leaves Reebok on crutches

Midfielder Reyna left the ground on crutches with a protective cast on his left leg and he will have a further examination on Tuesday but, according to manager Howard Wilkinson, the signs are not good.

"It looks like a knee ligament injury," said Sunderland's new manager.

"He will be looked at tomorrow but at the moment it doesn't look promising."

Goalkeeper Thomas Myhre was also forced to come off with a recurrence of a thigh strain. He was replaced by Jurgen Macho. "He said he was fit and he wasn't," Wilkinson said
