Sessegnon Wants Transfer!

The 29-year-old Benin international is likely to get his wish which will be a huge disappointment to Black Cats fans.

But Sessegnon is one of the few sought-after assets – and one of Sunderland’s highest earners – and they will let him go so that Paolo Di Canio can bring in his own men.

Sessegnon has been unsettled on Wearside for some time but Sunderland had hoped that by handing him a new four-year contract 12 months ago he would settle down. But he still wants to leave Sunderland.

His wife and five children spend as much time in France as they do in Sunderland and that has increased Sessegnon’s desire to move.

The Black Cats will want £8million for him, a fee that will not put off Marseille who have a long-standing interest in taking him back to France.
