According to the Dailymail, Sunderland are considering a move for local lad and academy product Martyn Waghorn.

Grayson is still in the market to strengthen the squad before the close of the transfer window, and Waghorn may come as a low cost option due to having only one year left on his Glasgow Rangers contract.

Waghorn is Red and White thought and through, but was sold to Leicester City after a spell on loan there having struggled with Premiership football.  Having said that he may find championship football more his level, coupled with playing with his supported club.

Waghorn also has experienced working up front with James Vaughan where they played together at Leicester.
