Stead Withdraws From England Squad

The Sunderland striker has a hip injury and has pulled out of Peter Taylor's side who play Austria at Leeds United's Elland Road on 7th October and Poland at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough four days later.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ben Alwick has had to withdraw from the England Under 19's squad because of an ankle injury.
