Stephane Sessegnon has signed a contract extension with Sunderland which will keep him at the club until 2015.
The former Paris St Germain player signed 18 months ago from
for a fee of ?6m.
Sessegnon, 28, was named the club's player of the season in 2011-12 after scoring seven goals in 36 league games.
The new contract is subject to Sessegnon being granted an extension to his work permit.
