Bruce is sweating over the fitness of top striker Darren Bent after what is thought to be a pulled Hamstring that he picked up in Sunderland's victory over Arsenal. Bent was seen to be struggling towards the end of the game but Bruce had used up all 3 subs.
Bent has under gone scans by specialist to find out exactly the extent of the problem, if Bent is ruled out and with Jones still serving a ban due to a red card. Bruce will be looking at 3rd choice striker Frazer Campbell who will be looking for this opportunity to prove himself there may also be a chances for Healy or Murphy to get the nod. Other options would be to play Richardson just behind Campbell in an attacking midfielder/striker roll.
