Sunderland and Inter Milan are set for a show down in the Court of Arbitration for sport over winger Ricky Alvarez.

Milan are insisting that Sunderland have to hand over 7.5 million and sign Alvarez on a permanent deal after completing his season long loan on Wearside.  Although Sunderland are refusing the deal, as they claim the Italian club are in breach of contract, for allegedly not allowing Alvarez to have surgery when he needed it.

The Argentinian International’s time at Sunderland was hugely disappointing, mainly due to an injury plagued season, Sunderland claim that because Inter Milan didn’t give permission for the player to have is injuries correctly dealt with they have void the agreement between the two clubs.
