Sunderland in for former Loanee.

This morning’s newspapers are going with a story that Sunderland has now focused their attentions on yet another centre back former loanee Jonny Evans.

Although Sunderland have already signed other loanee Seb Coates from Liverpool permanently and also Younes Kaboul making the move from Spurs recently.

Jonny Evans spent one and a half seasons on loan on Wearside under manager Roy Keane, helping Sunderland gain promotion and then the following season helping avoid relegation.  In that time he became a fan favourite, Roy Keane tried to persuade the Man United defender to stay on permanently.   Evans decided to stay on at Manchester and fight for a first team spot, in which he got, but now it seems that he has become out of favour with Man United’s latest manager.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Everton, but if Sunderland are after him maybe having a wife from Sunderland might the deal move.
