Coming from Atletico Madrid under much promise, Manquillo has feature seven times for the Black Cats, but after some questionable performance he has not played first team since October.

News out of France that Marseille are ready to offer the 22-year-old a permanent contract this forth coming transfer window.  The French side are hoping that Sunderland will end the defenders loan deal, which will enable them to offer a deal.

As part of the loan deal it is said that if the player were to play 25 games for Sunderland, that would trigger 9.5 million permanent contract to keep him on Wearside.
