Taking The Mick

MICHAEL BRIDGES is the next Sunderland player to be told he can leave for free this summer. The news comes not long

after Sean Thornton was told he could leave the club, last Monday.

Bridges has only scored 2 goals for Sunderland this season, which has been a poor haul considering the hype surrounding

his move. Michael scored his first of the season against Stoke, and his last, versus Burnley at home.

Bridges told the Sunderland Echo: "Ive still got a year on my contract remaining, and if I come back and have a good pre-season

I’m confident I can show this club what I have to offer".

Mick McCarthy is showing no signs off affection for any of his players who have won the league, which is encouraging to see.
