Team News

Think this could our best starting 11 for the season and the team really looks like it's starting to come together at the right time.

What a turn around. The team seems full of life and smiles seem to be on faces. Even Tommy Miller is in form and I think he's got a chance of making the bench.

Elliott is out for up to another 6 weeks and the young Irishman seems to be having a real hard time with injuries at the moment.

Cunningham and Wright completed another 90 minutes and must now be ready for first team action. This is like having two new signings. Both players adding strength and depth to the squad.

Liam Miller and Stan Varga should both return to fitness for Southend too, but Graham Kavanagh remains side lined.

Team to face Southend

Ward

Simpson, Nosworthy, Evans, Collins

Edwards, Whitehead, Yorke, Hysen

Connolly, Stokes

Subs: Fulop, Miller, Murphy, Varga, Leadbitter

Prediction

Southend might be in a little form at the moment, but I can't see them getting anything agaist the form team in The Championship. The Mackems will take the 3 points here and move a step close to automatic promotion.
