Its been reported that Niall Quinn paid a rare pre-match visit to the Sunderland dressing room before the 0-0 draw with Bolton.
Although Sunderland did not achieve the three points need to push them towards safety, a great improvement in the teams performance was displayed in comparison to the two previous matches against West Brom and Everton.
Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia invited chairman Niall Quinn to speak to the Sunderland team before there match with Bolton.
Quinn has been reported to have told the Sunderland team early news of a complete take over by American billionaire business man Ellis Short which the club will officially announce at the close of the season. Quinn was also to have reminded the team how as a club that it has never had a chance as great as the one currently in the history of Sunderland AFC, and how vital it was for the club to stay in the Premiership.
Goal keeper Marton Folup backed up these reports by making this comment, “The news we heard before the game is going to be a big step forward for this club.”
