The Sunderland Prophet - Cardiff City V Sunderland AFC

Cardiff City
I'm so annoyed at the result against West Ham. Not because of our players performance or effort, but because of the referees. Until Steve Caldwell was sent off for a fowl he didn't commit, it was an even game. Not only that, but the ref decided to pop into the West Ham dressing room to get Teddy Sherringham's autograph before the match, I smell a rat! Im positive though that the lads won't be too down about this little set back, as it was out of their hands and Im backing the lads to get back on track against Cardiff this weekend, with another away win!

I think this is a must win game for the lads, if we are to eventually top this league. Cardiff have been unable to replicate the form they had last season and have spent all season dwelling at the bottom of the league.

There should be a few changes from last weekend. Mhyre will keeps his place in goal, with Mr Poom not due back for another week. The back four should remain in tact after Steve Caldwell's red card was over turned this week. Julio Arca has returned from a one match ban. Robinson should take his place in the centre of the park with either Dean Whitehead or Sean Thornton and Liam Lawrence should keep his place on the right flank. The partnetship of Stewart and Elliott should continue up front. Bridges is touch and go with a foot injury, whilst Piper could make his long awaited first team come back appearence from the bench.

Starting Eleven: Mhyre, Wright, Breen, Caldwell, McCartney, Arca, Robinson, Whitehead, Lawrence, Stewart and Elliott.

Subs: Alnwick, Lynch, Piper, Thornton and Brown.

Score: CARDIFF CITY 1 SUNDERLAND AFC 3

Scorers: ELLIOTT, ARCA AND BREEN.
