The Sunderland Prophet - Sunderland AFC V Burnley

Burnley
I really thought Sunderland were going to draw a blank at one point in the Cardiff game, but those two cracking goals from our latest additions bagged the points and got Sunderland back to winning ways. Steve Coterill has completely turned the club round since joining Burnley and will be out to take revenge for his sacking by the club before mighty Mick took over, but I'm backing the lads to do them still.

I'm expecting a very physical game and Burnley will be full of confidence with their current form. Even with that in mind, they may not feel so confident stepping out at the mighty Stadium of Light playing a team that will be looking to tear them a new but hole.

There should be few changes from last weekend. Mhyre will keeps his place in goal, with Mr Poom still out. The back four should remain in tact.  The midfield should remain the same even with the possibility of Jeff Whitley returning to fitness due Dean Whiteheads current form.  Mick changed the striking partnership against Cardiff and I'm expecting it to change again with Chris Brown not making an impact. I'll expect Bridges and Elliott leading the line.

Starting Eleven: Mhyre, Wright, Breen, Caldwell, McCartney, Arca, Robinson, Whitehead, Lawrence, Bridges and Elliott.

Subs: Alnwick, Lynch, Piper, Stewart and Brown.

Score: SUNDERLAND AFC 2 BURNLEY 0.

Scorers: BRIDGES AND ELLIOTT.
