The Sunderland Prophet - Sunderland AFC V Preston NE

Preston North End
We're back and back with a bang. We're on the up, on the move, playing well and stuffing teams. Just like Sunderland should be! Six goals and two clean sheets is just what the doctor ordered after our very poor start to the season. We've never been quick out the blocks, but always seem to put a good run together soon after and long may this form continue.

I like Preston, but they're nearly as unpredictable as us. The confidence will be sky high now amongst the lads, espcially the new young lads. With this in mind, I can come to no other conclusion than a home win.

I expect Mick to make no changes from our win over Nottingham Forrest, why would he? The only possible change could be the introduction of Darren Carter, a centre midfield player on loan from Birmingham.

Starting eleven: Poom, Wright, Breen, Caldwell, McCartney, Whitehead, Robinson, Whitley, Arca, Stewart and Elliott.

Subs: Mhyre, Lynch, Lawrence, Carter and Johnson.

Score: SUNDERLAND AFC 3 PRESTON NE 1

Scorers: STEWART, ELLIOTT AND WHITEHEAD.
